Created by God to be Offered
Our church will be offering a parent/youth human sexuality education weekend on April 9-10, 2010.  The church is opening this event to area families who would be interested in attending.  The Created by God curriculum is a Friday evening and all day Saturday event for 5th-8th graders and their parents.  It is a study of human sexuality with an ecumenical Christian foundation.  The youth will be in small groups according to age and grade.  Created by God offers both parents and youth opportunities to learn, grow and celebrate that we are wonderfully created by God and that we are called to be responsible in our living and how sexuality fits into God's plan for human relationships.  It focuses on creating an atmosphere where parents and youth can communicate with each other and work on decision-making skills.  In addition, it provides an arena where accurate information and proper terminology can be gained and practiced.  Registrations must be in by March 17th for planning purposes; groups are limited in size. Annual Kids First Scholarship Plant Sale
FUMC's Kids First Preschool Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance for low income families.  Approximately 20% of our preschool students benefit from this fund.  Every spring the Preschool Advisory Council holds a bedding plant sale to support this fund.  For more information and order form click here.

24 Hours that Changed the World

This event that involves the whole church will include:

• "24 Hours" Sermon Series- beginning the first Sunday of Lent, February 21 and continuing through Easter Sunday, April 4
• "24 Hours" Six-Week Study Groups:  Choose from Sundays at 5:30 p.m., starting February 21
  OR Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.(supper available), starting February 24
• "Three Simple Rules" Lent Event for Children and Youth
