Dr. Charles L.
Spence, III
Senior Pastor Charles is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. He has served churches in the Northwest Texas, New Mexico, Iowa, and Nebraska Conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Theology degree from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Growth and Revitalization from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. On the local level, Charles serves on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army. On the Conference level, he serves as Chair of the Board of Mission Outreach. An active participant in the Volunteers in Mission (VIM) of the Nebraska Conference, Charles has made several trips to Central America. He also serves as a delegate to the World Methodist Conference. Charles is energized by youth and music ministries, and creative worship and believes these are key arenas for revitalizing congregations. He is a strong supporter of churches being engaged in mission. Charles is married to Deborah, an artisan and musician. In addition to owning and operating an online stained glass gift business, Deborah serves as the music coordinator and keyboardist for the Contemporary Worship service. She also designed and manages this web site. Charles and Deborah have a son who is a university student studying electronic engineering. |
